I was tagged for a this meme by Katie and Meg. The rules of this meme are to either (1) post 7 facts about yourself AND photos OR (2) post 10 facts about yourself with no photos, OR (3) post a childhood picture of yourself. I chose to do #1 and #3.
My childhood photo.... I was around 3 years old in the photo.
1. Right after I was born, I lived in Mississippi for about 2 months while my father worked on a shad boat. Other than that, I have never lived outside of this county and I am just fine with that!
2. Jr and I have been together for 11 years and married for almost 5 years.

3. Jr is the greatest man I know. I love everything about him, especially his love for animals.

4. The only kids we have are the four-legged furry kind.

5. I have a traveling phobia, but I’m working on it. I am terrified by the thought of flying. I’ve never flown and there’s a good chance I never will.
6. I have never watched animal planet and cannot watch any movie or tv show about animals or pets. I can’t even read books about them! Much too tender-hearted.
I've heard the book and movie were both great, but very sad.
7. I stopped eating meat on January 30, 2008 and I haven’t missed it. Although, about once or twice a year, I will eat fish. So I guess that makes me a pescetarian?

I’m afraid to watch Animal Planet too – and I’m also a pescetarian (like you, I don’t eat fish very often). I have had a lot of people harass me about not eating meat, but I just tell them I don’t eat anything I can’t kill. It took me a while to figure out this answer, but it does work

P.S. I’ve been flying on planes since I was 6 months old so am rarely afraid, but my sister, who has the same experience with flying, recently developed a flying phobia – so I understand.

Like you and Katie, I rarely watch animal movies or read books about animals…my husband gave me the Dewey book for Christmas and I’ve yet to read it…I don’t want to cry!
You are one of the few people I know (I can say I know you, can’t I?) that have never flown! In this day and age, that’s a rarity!
I still gotta have my meat, though…but I always say that if I really thought about what I was eating (and I try not to), I’d be a vegetarian for sure!

I too can’t watch or read any animal stories! I do fly – used to fly alot for business. Traveling is such an eye opening experience! I have been a pescetarian for 17 years! We have lots of cats and no kids. And my hubby of 17 years (21 total of being together) have both lived in many places and states – it is fun to see how other places are. We are enjoying our life in NC! Come visit my “other” blog!

I’m not afraid to fly but I do hate it! You and Jr make a lovely couple and sounds like you two are well suited for each other! I have a hard time watching any nature programs cause someone is always eating someone. Hope you’ll be able to read Fin’s book someday, I don’t think it will make you cry.
